Our History

Fernmoor has a history of success. Under the leadership of President Jeffrey Fernbach, Fernmoor has consistently delivered projects on time and within budget, even in potentially adverse conditions. The company has a 100% track record of project build-out and successful disposition.

Established in 2009, Fernmoor is a dynamic real estate development firm headquartered in Jackson, NJ. Having been in business for 15 years, the company has honed its business model and created a product that emphasizes the value of a community. Its product is not merely a collection of homes but a central hub for neighbors, friends, and family to convene. Fernmoor develops living solutions across New Jersey, Delaware, and Pennsylvania specific to each area and demographic, offering diverse options from single-family homes and townhomes to condominiums, active-adult communities, and luxury rentals. In 2011, Fernmoor Custom Builders was founded as the General Contractor arm, and in 2014, Fernmoor debuted the Mi-Place™ line of luxury apartment communities. In 2023, Fernmoor debuted the Mi-Shoppes commercial/retail brand.

Since its inception, we have successfully developed and managed 93 buildings, totaling more than 4,600 residential units completed or under construction. Notably, the signature apartment complexes, branded as “Mi-Place™,” represent smart communities strategically located near major cities. These spaces boast a diverse array of options and creative floor plans catering to varied demands.

In addition to MiPlace™, Fernmoor’s Mi-Shoppes commercial brand manages over 400,000 SF of commercial space in Delaware and Pennsylvania.

Recognition for excellence has been consistent, with Fernmoor receiving over 28 awards since 2015 from esteemed organizations such as the Shore Builders’ Association of Central New Jersey, the New Jersey Builders’ Association, the Home Builders’ Association of Delaware, and the National Association of Home Builders.
